    Está breve nota tiene la sola intención de ser una introducción sobre algunas cuestiones del seguro marítimo de responsabilidad civil. En ella abordaremos las diferencias entre el seguro P&I (de protección e indemnización) y el seguro marítimo de responsabilidad civil, la acción directa del perjudicado y algunas de las excepciones que el asegurador tiene contra este. Para ello comentaremos brevemente dos sentencias recientes de especial relevancia para la materia.

    This brief note has the sole intention of being an introduction to some issues of maritime civil liability insurance. It will be addressed the differences between the P&I (protection and indemnity) insurance and civil liability insurance, the direct action of the injured party against the P&I Club, and some of the exceptions that the insurer might have against the claimants. For this, we will briefly comment on two recent judgements of special relevance.
