Resumen de Análisis de la infodemia sobre la Covid-19 en España

Introducción: El ser humano no solo ha tenido que contener la expansión de la pandemia provocada por la covid-19, también la del exceso de información en torno a ella. Objetivo: El objetivo es analizar las informaciones desmentidas relativas a la covid-19 en España por parte de las cuatro organizaciones que cuentan con el sello de la International Fact-Checking Network. Metodología: Se realizó un análisis a través de la base de datos de la International Fact-Checking Network, de la que se extrajo el canal a través del cual se recibió la información, el formato de esta y el aspecto relacionado con la covid-19 al que hacía referencia. Resultados: los resultados muestran que la mayor parte de la información errónea sobre la covid-19 fue difundida a través de las redes sociales, especialmente en formato de texto, y que esta, además, se trataba de desinformación viral. Conclusión: La pandemia de la covid-19 no solo ha hecho resaltar la importancia de filtrar la información que se recibe, también el peligro que las fake news pueden suponer para la población, así como la necesidad de incluir a la pandemia en el enfoque informativo integrador de la salud pública.

Introduction: Human beings have not only had to contain the spread of the pandemic caused by covid -19, but also that of the excess of information about it. Objective: The objective is to analyze the disproved information related to covid -19 in Spain by the four organizations that have the International Fact-Checking Network seal. Methodology: An analysis was carried out through the International Fact-Checking Network database from which the channel through which the information was received, the format of the information and the aspect related to covid -19 to which it referred were extracted. Results: the results show that most of the misinformation about covid-19 was disseminated through social networks, especially in text format, and that this, moreover, was viral misinformation. Conclusion: The covid-19 pandemic has not only highlighted the importance of filtering incoming information, but also the danger that fake news can pose to the public, as well as the need to include the pandemic in an integrated public health information approach.
