Resumen de Calidad del compost de residuos sólidos urbanos

• The stability, maturity and quality of MSW compost are discussed in this paper. The higher or lower stability is related to the microbial activity; but the maturity is related with the absence of phytotoxic substances. The MSW compost quality is fixed, besides of its stability/maturity, by other parameters (heavy metals contents, granulometric composition, etc...) Likewise, this paper shows a revision about the chemist, physics and biologic methods for the definition of this concepts.
