En este artículo se analiza la participación del carlismo de base que permaneció en retaguardia en el proceso de limpieza política registrado en Navarra en 1936-1937. No todos los carlistas marcharían inmediatamente el frente, sino que por medio de diversa documentación (el Fichero de Excombatientes, información de prensa y bibliográfica) se advierte que una parte de ellos permanecería durante días, semanas o meses en los pueblos del sur de la provincia y en Pamplona en labores de control y vigilancia, tomando parte en batidas y formando parte del Tercio Móvil, la unidad represiva requeté. La documentación de la Junta Central Carlista de Guerra de Navarra y los expedientes de depuración del magisterio muestran indicios del trasfondo de su mentalidad represora.

This article analyzes the participation of grassroots Carlism, which remained at the rear during during the political cleansing process that ocurred in Navarre between 1936 and 1937. Not all of the carlists headed to the front inmediately, as recorded in various documents (veteran case files, information from the press and bibliographic information), some of them spent days, weeks or even months in towns located in the south of the Province and in Pamplona on control and inspection duty, participating in raids and being part of the moving regiment, the repressive unit within the Requeté movement. Both the documentation from the Central Carlist War Board of Navarre and filtering records from the magisterium show signs of their repressive mindset.
