Resumen de Esencialidad de la eucaristía presencial y virtual en tiempo de covid-19

Desde que la OMS llamó al Covid-19 una “pandemia”, el miércoles 11 de marzo 2020, se ha producido una avalancha de prohibiciones de reuniones en todo el mundo y también aquí en Chile. Al aceptar esta norma gubernamental, la Iglesia ha cumplido con el imperativo de proteger la salud corporal, considerando ésta como una prioridad. Sin embargo, esto ha suscitado muchas interrogantes: ¿la eucaristía es esencial o no?; ¿la eucaristía por internet es real o virtual?; ¿qué dicen las eucaristías virtuales a la teología?. Aproximarse a esta realidad desde la perspectiva de la teología práctica y con uno de sus métodos: la correlación crítica, nos permite dar sentido e interpretar lo que hemos vivido. En ese sentido se confi rma que lo más importante es siempre el Misterio que se hace epifanía en la eucaristía por internet, él es el esencial, aunque la modalidad (internet) no agote ni sea la única manera de hacer anamnesis de Cristo. La eucaristía por internet es una realidad con un espacio propio, ella es actual y se caracteriza por la presencia activa del hombre. Sin embargo, quedan muchas interrogantes sin respuesta, especialmente relacionadas con la asincronicidad, la pérdida del sentido comunitario, y el rol demasiado preponderante del sacerdote en desmedro de la participación.

Since the who named Covid-19 a «pandemic», on Wednesday, March 11, 2020, there has been an avalanche of meetings prohibited in the world and here also in Chile. By accepting the Government rules, the Church has fulfi lled the imperative to protect bodily health, considering it a priority. However, this has raised many questions: is the Eucharist essential or not?; the Eucharist on the internet, it is real or virtual?; what do the virtual Eucharists say to theology?. Approaching this reality from the perspective of practical theology and with one of its methods: critical correlation does not allow us to make sense and to interpret what we have experienced. In this sense, it is confirmed that the most important is that the Mystery always becomes epiphany in the Eucharist on the internet, he is the essential one, even if the modality (internet) does not exhaust or be the only way to make anamnesis of Jesus-Christ. The Eucharist on the internet is a reality within its own space, it is current and is characterized by the active presence of man. However, many unanswered questions remain, especially relating to asynchronity, the loss of community sense and the so predominant role of the priest to the detriment of the community participation’s.
