  • The improvement of wastes management should be environmentally sustainable to minimize the associated impacts to the environment. This minimization should go so much to the emissions to the biosphere, like also to the conservation of the energy resources and materials. One of the technics used in order to evaluate the environmental impacts from a global point of view of an activity are the Life Cycle Assesment (LCA). In this article the application is described on four Spanish sanitary landfills.
