Resumen de ¿El Estado laico en entredicho? Religión y política en la Cuarta Transformación: aproximaciones desde la filosofía política

El objetivo central de esta investigación es examinar la nueva redimensión que la Cuarta Transformación (4T), esto es, el pensamiento del presidente Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) le ha proporcionado a la relación entre religión y política, la pareja siempre en conflicto en México pero que en la historia reciente se ha llegado a una síntesis interpretativa, una reconfiguración política y a una apropiación del fenómeno religioso, lo que nos ha permitido formular las siguientes hipótesis: 1) por una parte el elemento religioso expresado en el catolicismo social, ha sido asumido por el discurso de AMLO y lo ha dirigido contra el conservadurismo económico, objeto de su crítica; 2) el discurso religioso de AMLO parecería ubicarlo dentro de un catolicismo social, liberacionista, o de un populismo cristiano; sin embargo, habría que señalar que estamos ante una ”religión política” y el fenómeno religioso le sirve en su formulación

The central objective of this research is to examine the new dimension that the Fourth Transformation (4T), the thought of Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO), has provided to the relationship between religion and politics, the couple always in conflict in Mexico but who In recent history they have reached an interpretative synthesis, a political reconfiguration and an appropriation of the religious phenomenon, which has allowed us to formulate the following hypotheses: 1) on the one hand, the religious element expressed in social Catholicism has been assumed for AMLO’s speech and has directed it against economic conservatism, the object of his criticism; 2) AMLO’s religious discourse would seem to place it within a social, liberationist Catholicism, or a Christian populism; however, it should be noted that we are facing a “political religion” and the religious phenomenon serves him in his formulation
