    Este artículo ofrece un panorama global de las características del juicio político que se siguió al general Gustavo Rojas Pinilla, ex presidente de Colombia (1953-1957), en el Congreso de la República, durante el período comprendido entre el 18 de agosto de 1958 y el 2 de abril de 1959. Presenta, además, las características del marco político en que se desarrolló el juicio que se llevó a cabo, en el momento en que se puso en funcionamiento el pacto político del Frente Nacional, y se fraguó una amenaza de conspiración contra este mismo pacto, alrededor del regreso del General al país, después de su salida del Gobierno. El artículo se cierra con una serie de conclusiones relacionadas con los efectos del juicio, y la construcción de la memoria colectiva de la época.

    This article offers an overview of the characteristics of political trial that follows the general Gustavo Rojas Pinilla, ex-President of Colombia (1953-1957), in the Congress of the Republic, during the period from August 18, 1958 and April 2, 1959. Presents, in addition, the characteristics of the political framework in which develops the trial that is carried out at the time to be put into operation the political pact of the National Front and builds a threat of conspiracy against the same pact around the return of General to the country after his departure of the government. The article closes with a series of findings related to the effects of the trial and the construction of the collective memory of this time.
