La propuesta del artículo es pensar determinadas fuerzas políticas condensadas en la figura del archivo, tanto en su instrumentalización por la Policía Nacional de Guatemala, como en su trabajo de rescate histórico y en su representación en el material humano de Rodrigo Rey Rosa. Desde una crítica derridiana, entendemos al archivo como el lugar que designa el encuentro de una pulsión de conservación y una pulsión de destrucción; esto es, el encuentro entre fuerzas que tratan de olvidar y las que tratan de construir una memoria. El archivo entonces se muestra como una figura subversiva por su capacidad para desestabilizar cualquier mandato. Además, su desplazamiento a espacios del arte y la literatura significa también una producción de sentido específica, donde el archivo es a veces crítico, a veces pacificador. Desde dicha posición, se tratará de analizar tanto el uso represor del archivo como la representación hecha por Rey Rosa, pensando su escritura como una práctica social y como un trabajo arqueológico preocupado por el rescate de una verdad forense y en relación con una justicia espectral. El propósito final es hacer una revisión crítica de los usos de la figura del archivo y sus formas en las políticas de olvido, memoria y justicia.

The proposal of the article is to think about certain political forces condensed in the figure of the archive, both in its instrumentalization by the National Police of Guatemala, as well as in its historical rescue work and in its rep-resentation in The human material by Rodrigo Rey Rosa. From a Derridian critique we understand the archive as the place that designates the meeting of a conservation drive and a destruction drive; that is, the encounter between forces that try to forget and those that try to build a memory. The archive is then shown as a subversive figure due to its ability to destabilize any man-date. In addition, its displacement to spaces of art and literature also means a production of specific meaning, sometimes critical, sometimes pacifying. From this position, we will try to analyze both the repressive use of the ar-chive and the representation made by Rey Rosa, thinking of his writing as a social practice and as an archaeological work concerned with the rescue of a forensic truth and in relation to a spectral justice. The final purpose is to make a critical review of the uses of the figure of the archive and its forms in the politics of oblivion, memory and justice.
