Resumen de Efectos del riego de lixiviados sobre las características químicas de los suelos. Caso del vertedero de Meruelo (Cantabria)

A treatment system of leachates is the land treatment. Into Meruelo Landfill area in Santander (Cantabria Spain) the used mechanism is the Slow low System (SFL), and it is applied by irrigation. The purpose of this research had been to carry out a comparative analysis between samples of soils of control and irrigated, measuring the Cation Exchange Capacity; ions of exchange and the Carbon/Nitrogen rate. The results obtained are comparable and acceptable and permit to conclude that this treatment system affect slightly the chemical characteristics of the soil.
