Resumen de Minería y espacio en el distrito minero Pachuca-Real del Monte en el siglo XIX

  El estudio de la penetración de empresas con capitales de orígenes diversos en la actividad minera y sus impactos territoriales, aplicado en el pasado, es un tema de gran actualidad. El dominio de la gran empresa minera de capital británico primero y nacional después en el distrito Pachuca-Real del Monte a lo largo del siglo XIX, desempeñó un papel protagónico en la configuración de los patrones de ocupación espacial, debido al control casi absoluto que ejerció sobre la minería de la plata del área. Por ello se analizan las políticas mineras estatales y empresariales y la relación entre minería y espacio en el distrito minero en el siglo XIX mexicano, desde la perspectiva de la geografía minera histórica.

  Today, the investigation about the penetration of enterprises with capitals of various origins into the mining activity and its territorial impacts, applied to the past, is an upstream topic. The dominance of the large mining enterprise, first with British capital and then with national capital, in the Pachuca-Real del Monte district throughout the nineteenth century played a leading role in the configuration of the spatial occupation patterns, due to the virtually absolute control that it exerted on silver mining in the area. For this reason, the state and managerial policies are analyzed along with the relationship between mining and space in the mining district across the Mexican nineteenth century, from the perspective of the historical mining geography.
