Resumen de Caracterización de lodos de depuración en la provincia de Alicante

The current legislation restricts possible outlets for sludge disposal, due to the environmental impact. The recycling of sludge to agricultural land is the most acceptable disposal option at present day, as long as the sludge fulfils the quality requirements laid down by the law. The present study shows the viability of using the sludge produced in Alicante for agricultural use. However, in some industrial areas the sludge which is produced exceeds the heavy metals limits established by the legislation.
