La gamificación en la enseñanza experimental de Materiales de Construcción

    El presente trabajo analiza la implementación de un concurso en la asignatura Materiales de Construcción II, del Grado de Ingeniería Civil y Territorial, de la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, durante el curso 2021-22. En las prácticas de laboratorio ofertadas, se realiza la fabricación de un mortero y el estudio de su comportamiento mecánico y el concurso consiste en premiar al grupo de estudiantes que obtenga el mortero más resistente. Mediante una encuesta final se ha observado que los estudiantes valoran positivamente la actividad, lo que ha influido favorablemente en las notas de laboratorio. Sin embargo, de la comparación de notas entre el curso 2020-21, en el que no se realizó el concurso, y el curso 2021-22, en el que se ha implementado, no se han observado cambios significativos en las notas finales de la asignatura, ni en el seguimiento de la evaluación continua por parte de los estudiantes.

    The present work analyses the application of a contest, in the subject Construction Materials II at the Civil and Territorial Engineering Grade in the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. In this course, two laboratory classes were offered to the students. In the first one, they make a mortar, which is mechanically studied in the following laboratory class and the contest rewards the group of students whose mortar obtains the highest compression resistance. From the results of a final survey it has been stated that the contest has been positively received by the students, increasing the grades of the laboratory works. However, from the comparison between the grades obtained during the course 2020-21, where this activity was not implemented, and the grades from 2021-22, when the contest was included, no significant changes have been found in the engagement and final grades of the students in the subject.
