Eugenio Corti è noto soprattutto per il Cavallo rosso, un romanzo che, nonostante un grandissimo successo di pubblico, non ha ancora avuto il giusto riconoscimento dalla critica letteraria; eppure quell’opera monumentale racchiude numerosi percorsi tematici che meritano di essere approfonditi. Uno di questi è relativo alle questioni inerenti al processo di industrializzazione della società italiana. Con il presente contributo si vuole aprire la strada a possibili confronti con opere e autori che hanno sentito il bisogno e la necessità di riflettere sui cambiamenti che si sono verificati nel dopoguerra. Si vuole cercare, dunque, di definire il ritratto di un Corti autore importante anche per la letteratura legata alle tematiche della fabbrica.

Eugenio Corti among Factories, Sirens and Orange Jumpsuits. Clues in the Archives · The writer Eugenio Corti is best known for Il cavallo rosso, a historical novel that, despite its great success with the public, has not yet received the due recognition of literary critics. Yet that monumental work encompasses numerous themes that deserve to be explored in depth. One of these is the process of industrialization of Italian society. The present contribution wants to open the way to possible comparisons with other authors, who also felt the need and necessity to reflect on the changes of the postwar period. Its aim is, therefore, to draw the portrait of Corti as an important author of factory literature.
