La miocardiopatía hipertrófica sin causa hemodinámica es una patología cardíaca en donde los primeros hallazgos y el seguimiento de la misma se establecen por medio de la ecocardiografía transtoracica, siendo ésta un medio diagnóstico altamente disponible y costo-efectivo. Por tal motivo los sonografistas cardíacos que están en contacto primario con los pacientes bajo la supervisión del ecocardiografista deben tener claridad sobre todos aspectos relacionados con la valoración de esta patología para poder realizar el planteamiento y adquisición de una valoración ecocardiográfica que le permitan al cardiólogo ecocardiografista durante la revisión de las imágenes emitir un diagnóstico acertado que ayude en el proceso de toma de decisiones en torno al diagnóstico del paciente, tratamiento, seguimiento y utilización de otras técnicas de imagen cardíaca.

Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy without hemodynamic cause is a cardiac pathology in which the first findings and the follow-up of it are established by transtoracic echocardiography, this being a highly available and cost-effective diagnostic means; For this reason cardiac sonographers who are in primary contact with patients under the supervision of the echocardiographer should be clear about all aspects related to the assessment of this pathology to be able to perform the planning and acquisition of an echocardiographic assessment that the cardiologist echocardiographer will allow during the review of the images to issue an accurate diagnosis that helps in the decision-making process regarding the diagnosis of the patient, treatment, follow-up and use of other cardiac imaging techniques.
