Resumen de ¿Qué significa crecer como persona?: Una crítica antropológico-personalista al olvido transhumanista del “quién” humano

Este estudio pretende interpretar críticamente una relevante afirmación de Nick Bostrom acerca de la trascendencia antropológica del proyecto transhumanista: “buscamos un crecimiento personal más allá de las limitaciones biológicas del presente”. Para ello nos fijamos, en primer lugar, en la cuestión que parece quedar al margen de la operación transhumanista de mejora y, sobre todo, de futura inmortalización tecnocientífica de la biología humana: ¿quién es el que trascenderá la biología? En segundo lugar, partiendo de la primera definición filosófica del hombre como ser personal, tomamos esa cuestión marginal para el transhumanismo como aquella que, en último término, concede su verdadero logos o razón de ser a la identidad del hombre como totalidad de sentido que es y se desarrolla en el mundo al modo humano.

This study aims to critically interpret a relevant statement by Nick Bostrom about the anthropological significance of the Transhumanist Project: “We seek personal growth beyond our current biological limitations”. In order to do this, we focus, first, on the question that seems to be left out of transhumanist enhancement operation and, above all, of future techno-scientific immortalization of human biology: Who is the one who will transcend biology? So, secondly, starting from the very first philosophical definition of Man as a Personal Being, we take this marginal question for Transhumanism as the one that, in the final analysis, grants its true logos or reason for Being to the identity of Man as a Totality of Meaning that it’s and grows up in the world in a human way.
