  • The problem: Water fertilization by nutrients input give rise to a process which leads to the water quality deterioration revealing its negative consequences during the summer season. Compulsory Regulations Decree-law 11/1995 on "Domestic waste water treatment" and Decree-law 262/1996 on "water protection against pollution" set forth the obligation of: a) Identify eutrophic water mass (volume) and surface of territory flowing to said waters; b) Prevent phosphorous input to said waters. General Methodology of the study: Diagnosis of the trophic degree of the reservoir; Find out the magnitude oand origin of pollutants (nutrients); Determine the reservoir response to the different hydraulic sceneries and nutrients input; Propose corrective measures in order to obtain certain quality objectives.
