  La presente monografía presenta un sistema de información para el abastecimiento, gestión de inventarios y toma de decisiones en el sector farmacéutico de la ciudad de Barranquilla, sistema que permitirá reducir las deficiencias en cuanto a costos, oportunidades de compra y decisiones de compra, especialmente a los administradores de farmacias del sector de las Pymes. Durante el tiempo del proyecto se realizó el análisis, diseño y desarrollo de la herramienta basándonos en las prácticas del mercado farmacéutico y todos los datos de importancia obtenidos durante el proceso de recolección de información. El sistema en primera instancia contó con un prototipo mínimamente funcional y fue puesto a prueba en durante un periodo no mayor a 1 semana en el cual se evidenció el interés y la gran utilidad de la herramienta frente a la problemática abordada, con los datos recabados nosotros procedimos a realizar mejoras para refinar el sistema y convertirlo en un producto más ajustado a la realidad evidenciada.

  This monograph presents an information system for supply, inventory management and decision-making in the pharmaceutical sector of the city of Barranquilla, a system that will reduce deficiencies in terms of costs, purchasing opportunities and purchasing decisions, especially to the administrators of pharmacies in the SME sector. During the time of the project, the analysis, design and development of the tool was carried out based on the practices of the pharmaceutical market and all the important data obtained during the information gathering. process. The system in the first instance had a minimally functional prototype and was tested in a period not exceeding 1 week in which the interest and the great utility of the tool was evidenced in the face of the problem addressed, with the data collected we proceeded to make improvements to refine the system and turn it into a product more adjusted to the reality evidenced.
