    La matriz colonial está en activo en cada una de nuestras situaciones cotidianas, y por supuesto también en cada uno de los dispositivos tecnológicos que hacen suceder la vida de una manera particular. En 2017 se estimó por primera vez que los dispositivos eran la industria más contaminante del planeta, por encima del transporte y la carne.

    Estudiar de cerca los dispositivos y los legados coloniales reproducidos por sus industrias constituye un comienzo para poderlos cuestionar. No se trata tanto de victimizarnos o culpabilizarnos, ni tampoco de rechazar la tecnología que llevamos en el bolsillo, sino más bien de entender de dónde viene y por qué es y funciona de esa manera para entonces poder empezar a discernir, diseñar y reclamar en colectivo otras posibilidades.

    Este recurso se acerca a una batería de proyectos artísticos y teóricos para despiezar críticamente un dispositivo paradigmático de la experiencia audiovisual más mundana de nuestra contemporaneidad: el smartphone.

    The colonial grid operates in each of our everyday situations, and of course also in each of the technological devices that make life happen in a particular way. In 2017 it was estimated for the first time that devices were the most polluting industry on the planet, above transport and meat.

    Taking a closer look at devices and the colonial legacies reproduced by their industries is a start to questioning them. It is not so much a matter of victimising or blaming ourselves, nor of rejecting the technology we carry in our pockets, but rather of understanding where it comes from and why it is and works the way it does, so that we can then begin to discern, design and collectively reclaim other possibilities.

    This resource approaches a set of artistic and theoretical projects to critically take apart a paradigmatic device of the most mundane audiovisual experience of our contemporaneity: the smartphone.
