According to academic film critics, the Productions of the 1990s and 2000s cooled the utopian and collective politics of films. Putting greater emphasis on social intrigues, such as resentment and sterile revenge. In this regard, the object of this work is to analyze the film “Elite Squad” (2007), by José Padilha to understand how the political collectivity is in the work of the period through the key of citizenship. Fundamental right that was overshadowed after redemocratization, even with the Citizen Constitution of 1998.

De acordo com a crítica cinematográfica acadêmica, as produções da década de 1990 e 2000 arrefeceram a política utópica e coletiva dos filmes. Dando maior ênfase nas intrigas socais, como o ressentimento e a vingança estéril. A partir disso, o objeto desse trabalho é analisar o filme “Tropa de Elite” (2007), de José Padilha para perceber como a coletividade política está nas obras do período por meio da chave da cidadania. Direito fundamental que foi ofuscado após a redemocratização, mesmo com a Constituição Cidadã de 1998.
