Resumen de Etnografando “casas” de folclore: relações entre configurações do espaço e os sentidos da prática do folclore “alemão” no Brasil / An ethnography of folklore “houses”: relations between space configurations and the meanings of “German” folklore practices
Com inspiração na produção sociológica acerca das “casas”, este artigo tem por objetivo analisar as relações entre os usos e as configurações do espaço e os sentidos investidos nas práticas sociais que constituem o que se compreende por folclore “alemão” no Brasil. Para a execução da análise, procedo à apresentação de duas etnografias sobre “casas” de folclore. A primeira descreve a estrutura física e espacial da principal instituição do espaço do folclore, a Associação Cultural Gramado / Casa da Juventude. A segunda descreve a Trachtenhaus (“Casa dos Trajes”), residência pessoal da principal especialista na confecção de trajes típicos germânicos no país. O artigo sustenta o argumento de que as configurações do espaço, a disposição dos objetos e os usos sociais de tais “casas” oferecem indícios profícuos para a compreensão da lógica e dos sentidos investidos na prática do folclore “alemão” no Brasil.AbstractInspired by the sociological production about “houses”, this article aims to analyze the relations between the uses and configurations of space and the meanings invested in social practices that constitute what is understood by “German” folklore in Brazil. To perform the analysis, I present two ethnographies about “houses” of folklore. The first describes the physical and spatial structure of the main institution of the folklore space, the Associação Cultural Gramado / Casa da Juventude. The second describes Trachtenhaus (“House of Costumes”), the personal residence of the main specialist in the production of typical Germanic costumes in the country. The article supports the argument that the configurations of space, the arrangement of objects and the social uses of such “houses” provide useful evidence for understanding the logic and meanings invested in the practice of “German” folklore in Brazil.
