    Tomar y ingerir es una de las 14 necesidades primordiales esbozadas por Virginia Henderson en su modelo conceptual de enfermería, las cuales son primordiales para restablecer o conservar la libertad del paciente con la intención de saciar esta necesidad elemental. La nutrición enteral, como la ingesta de alimentos por vía digestiva con dietas, se definen químicamente. La nutrición enteral está indicada para pacientes que no tienen la posibilidad de saciar las necesidades nutricionales por vía oral, sin embargo, no hay contraindicaciones para la utilización enteral. Pacientes con cambios mecánicos en la deglución o transporte que necesitan cateterismo por disfagia o disfagia severa.

    Taking and ingesting is one of the 14 primary needs outlined by Virginia Henderson in her conceptual model of nursing, which are essential to restore or preserve the patient’s freedom with the intention of satisfying this elementary need. Enteral nutrition, such as the intake of food through the digestive tract with diets, is defined chemically. Enteral nutrition is indicated for patients who cannot satisfy their nutritional needs orally; however, there are no contraindications for enteral use. Patients with mechanical changes in swallowing or transport who require catheterization for dysphagia or severe dysphagia.
