    O presente artigo analisa as representações do feminino através das personagens presentes no romance As netas da Ema, publicado por Eugenia Zerbini em 2003, bem como o combate a diferentes formas de silenciamentos. A produção literária em análise contribui com a democratização da literatura ao abordar as experiências das mulheres ao longo das gerações, com ênfase em questões pertinentes para a categoria das mulheres, tais como a violência e o corpo, problematizando temas como a gestação, a maternidade, a menopausa, o estupro e o envelhecimento, e inserindo as mulheres no discurso histórico ao tematizar o período da ditadura militar brasileira e as sequelas que as agruras daquele período deixaram. Assim, podemos compreender As netas da ema como uma tentativa de combate a diferentes silenciamentos: o silenciamento que permeia o período da ditadura, e também o silenciamento das mulheres, que por décadas não foram ouvidas, tanto no campo social quanto no campo literário.

    This article analyzes the representations of the feminine through the characters presente in the novel As netas da Ema, published by Eugenia Zerbini in 2003, as well as the fight against diferente forms of silencing. The literary production under analysis contributes to democratization of literature by approaching the experiences of women over the generations, with an emphasis on issues relevant to the category of women, such as violence and the body, problematizing themes such as pregnancy, motherhood, menopause, rape and aging, and inserting women into the historical discourse by thematizing the period of the Brazilian military dictatorship and the consequences that the hardships of that period left. Thus, we can understand As netas da Ema as an attempt to combat different silencing: the silencing that permeates the period of the dictatorship, and also the silencing of women, who for decades were not heard, both in the social field and in the literary field.
