  • This essay examines the remarks and comments on language in Marcel Proust’s abundant correspondence. Always ready to point out the grammatical errors in his contemporaries’ work – and to give lessons on style, the author of La Recherche outlines in his letters the principles (and contradictions) of an idea of language and style which, while being personal, resonates with the concerns of his time.
