El hombre, un ser finito, con anhelo y nostalgia del Infinito

    La paradoja del hombre radica en que siendo por creación un ser finito está llamado a la infinitud, no poseyendo en sí mismo la razón de su existencia, ni pudiendo alcanzar por sí lo que está llamado a ser: su ser en Cristo. Su búsqueda del sentido último y de la verdad definitiva de su existencia y del mundo constituye un “preámbulo de la fe”, que lo conduce al misterio de Dios. La fe es memoria de la promesa ligada a la esperanza que despierta la Palabra de Dios, inscrita desde siempre en el corazón del ser humano y manifiesta el encuentro vital entre Dios y el hombre, quien es transformado por la presencia infinita de Dios en él. Cristo visibiliza al Eterno en su ofrecimiento de hacer partícipe al hombre de su divinidad, se presenta como “el Camino, la Verdad y la Vida” y revela al hombre su vocación suprema. Del encuentro con Cristo, surge en el hombre la urgencia de anunciarlo, llegando hasta “las periferias existenciales y sociales”, para iluminarlas con la luz del Evangelio”.

    The paradox of man consists in the fact that, being by creation a finite being, is colling to reach infinity, not possessing in himself the reason for his existence, nor being able to achieve by himself what he is called to be: his being in Christ. His search for the ultimate meaning and definitive truth of his existence and of the world is a “preamble to faith” that leads him to the mystery of God. Faith is memory of the promise that comes from the hope that the Word of God awakens, always inscribed in the heart of the human being, and manifests the vital encounter between God and man, who is transformed by the infinite presence of God in him. Christ makes visible the Eternal in his offer to make man participate in his divinity, He presents himself as “the Way, the Truth and the Life” and He reveals to man his supreme vocation. From the encounter with Christ, the urgency to announce him arises in man, reaching “the existential and social peripheries”, to illuminate them with the light of the Gospel”
