Resumen de Relaciones genómicas entre las razas ovinas lecheras del pirineo occidental: Latxa y Manech

The relationships between seven dairy sheep populations: Latxa Cara Rubia (LCR), Latxa Cara Negra del País Vasco (LCN-EUS), Latxa Cara Negra de Navarra (LCN-NAF), Manech Tête Noire (MTN), Manech Tête Rousse (MTR), Basco-Béarnaise (BB) and Lacaune (LAC) have been analysed by means of SNP markers. We studied the conservation of linkage disequilibrium patterns across breeds and analysed principal components of the genomic relationship matrix. Results show a high relationship between both Lacaune strains and also between French and Spanish MTR/LCR. This could result in higher accuracy of joint genomic evaluations for those breeds.
