    Disculpen la osadía de titular este texto con un culto latinajo. En mi descargo diré que es una frase muy conocida, que aparece en uno de los diez libros de Vitruvio —el tercero en concreto—, donde, al describir los tipos de templos griegos, el tratadista romano trataba de explicar el sistema de correcciones ópticas que los helenos aplicaban a la construcción de las columnas. Y afirmaba "Lo que se percibe erróneamente (lo que el ojo engaña) debe solventarse por medio del razonamiento".

    Forgive the audacity of titling this text with a cultured Latin phrase. In my defence, I will say that it is a well-known phrase, which appears in one of the ten books of Vitruvius - the third in particular - where, in describing the types of Greek temples, the Roman treatise writer tried to explain the system of optical corrections that the Hellenes applied to the construction of the columns. And he stated: "What is wrongly perceived (what the eye deceives) must be solved by reasoning".
