Resumen de Representaciones y estilos del hábitat popular en Buenos Aires (1915-1955)

  El presente artículo busca establecer continuidades, rupturas, variantes e invariantes en las diversas representaciones y los códigos estilísticos de las propuestas habitacionales de interés social en la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, Argentina, y sus alrededores entre 1915 y 1955. El problema habitacional en este territorio surge, como en el resto de las grandes ciudades, a fines del siglo XIX y comienzos del siglo XX consecuente a la industrialización de la economía y a las migraciones urbanas que dieron lugar a la formación del proletariado. Asimismo, el debate en torno a la problemática habitacional se corresponderá a diversas representaciones morales e intelectuales que irán variando a lo largo de esos cuarenta años. La arquitectura de índole social estuvo caracterizada en esa época por diversas maneras de hacer y pensar el hábitat popular, y junto con ello, las formas de representación y lenguajes estéticos acorde a sus ideas. El análisis de esta relación entre representaciones discursivas y construcciones estilísticas en periodos políticos distintos nos permitirá elaborar una diacronía del hábitat popular y analizar los vínculos entre la divulgación de la arquitectura como medio estilístico de los imaginarios urbanos.

  This article seeks to establish continuities, ruptures, variants and invariants in the various representations and stylistic codes of housing proposals of social interest in the City of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and its surroundings between 1915 and 1955. The housing problem in this territory arises, as in the rest of the big cities, at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, as a result of the industrialization of the economy and the urban migrations that gave rise to the formation of the proletariat. Likewise, the debate around the housing problem will correspond to various moral and intellectual representations that will vary throughout those forty years. The architecture of a social nature was characterized at that time by different ways of making and thinking about the popular habitat, and along with it, the forms of representation and aesthetic languages ??according to their ideas. The analysis of this relationship between discursive representations and stylistic constructions in different political periods will allow us to elaborate a diachrony of the popular habitat and analyze the links between the dissemination of architecture as a stylistic medium of urban imaginaries.
