Resumen de Los efectos del terremoto de Lisboa en el Campo de Montiel

Este artículo estudia y analiza los diferentes efectos que tuvieron lugar en algunas de las localidades de la comarca del Campo de Montiel a causa del terremoto de Lisboa, ocurrido la mañana del 1 de noviembre de 1755, festividad de Todos los Santos. Para ello, se han tenido en cuenta diversas fuentes documentales, pero, sobre todo, las descripciones aportadas por los alcaldes en los informes que se remitieron al Gobernador del Real y Supremo Consejo de Castilla, por orden del rey Fernando VI de España.

This article studies and explains the different effects that took place in some of the localities of the Campo de Montiel region due to the Lisbon earthquake, which occurred on the morning of November 1, 1755, All Saints’ Day. To do this, various documentary sources have been taken into account, but, above all, the descriptions provided by the mayors in the reports that were sent to the Governor of the Royal and Supreme Council of Castile, by order of King Ferdinand VI of Spain.
