Resumen de De la crisis de Ceuta y la tragedia de Melilla: aspectos sociales y legales

Con sendas crisis política y migratoria, ocurridas en un intervalo de tiempo de un año, Ceuta y Melilla se han convertido en foco de atención mundial. Inmigración y otros problemas derivados de su ubicación geográfica sacuden a ambas ciudades españolas. Entradas irregulares de personas, devolución sin garantías de menores, imputaciones penales derivadas de tales prácticas, así como resquicios legales del sistema de asilo, serán objeto de análisis en este artículo. Todo ello sin obviar el papel que juega Marruecos, país vecino con el que cada día existe una mayor interrelación, tanto en la generación de obstáculos como en la búsqueda de soluciones.

Ceuta and Melilla have become a visible global centre of attention as a consequence of both the political and migratory crisis which has occured in the span of a year. Immigration and other issues derived from their geographical location have shattered both Spanish cities. Unlawful entries, minors refoulement, criminal charges derived from such practices, as well as loopholes related to the asylum system, will be an object of analysis in this paper. All of the above will be dealt with not leaving out the role played by Morocco, the neighbouring country with which there is a growing interrelation both in terms of the creation of problems and in the search for solutions.
