Resumen de El guitarrista y El curioso impertinente: Luis Landero a la luz de Cervantes

Partiendo de la hipótesis de la actualidad de las ficciones cervantinas en la literatura del siglo XXI, llevamos a cabo un análisis intertextual entre El curioso impertinente y El guitarrista, de Luis Landero. El tema de la burla nos permite trazar un recorrido histórico a través de la tradición literaria europea, en el que abordamos motivos como los dos amigos, el viejo y la niña o la prueba de la virtud. Ambos autores asimilan y renuevan con insólita originalidad la herencia literaria. El estudio de las influencias desde una perspectiva bidireccional ilumina el significado de la obra landeriana y descubre resonancias nuevas en la cervantina. La comparación de motivos y técnicas literarias en los dos autores justifica la reputación de Landero como uno de los escritores actuales más cervantinos.

Starting from the hypothesis of the presence of Cervantes’s fictions in twenty first-century literature, we carry out an intertextual analysis between El curioso impertinente and El guitarrista by Luis Landero. The subject of mockery allows us to trace a historical journey throughout European literary tradition in which literary motifs such as the two friends, the old man and the girl or the proof of virtue appear. Both writers assimilate and renew their literary inheritance with unusual originality. The study of influences from a bidirectional perspective illuminates the meaning of Landero’s masterpiece and discovers new resonances in Cervante’s one. The comparison of motifs and literary techniques between the two authors justifies the reputation of Landero as one of the most Cervantinian current writers.
