El autor comenta la exposición del Profesor Cámara Villar sobre el es- tatuto del diputado en las Jornadas sobre el Aniversario del Reglamento del Congreso de los Diputados. El Profesor Cámara en su exposición analiza no solo los aspectos del Título I del Reglamento, sino otros de gran importancia práctica como son la naturaleza y alcance del mandato parlamentario centrada, sobre todo, en la «reivindicación equilibrada» entre las competencias del parlamentario individual y la disciplina del grupo político al que pertenece.
El artículo examina además otros aspectos jurídicos novedosos como la votación telemática, profusamente utilizada durante la pandemia del COVID, el régimen de incompatibilidades tanto públicas como privadas y la necesidad de su reforma en profundidad, así como el aforamiento del parlamentario, su inviolabilidad, los criterios para el otorgamiento o denegación del suplicatorio, todo ello, bajo los criterios interpretativos de la jurisprudencia del Tribunal Constitucional y la doctrina más reciente.

The author discusses the Professor Cámara Villar’s presentation on Mem- ber’s Status at the Sessions on the Congress of Deputies’ Standing Orders Anniversary. In his speech, Professor Cámara analyses not only aspects relating the Title I of the Standing Orders, but also other issues having a great practical significance, such as the nature and scope of the parliamen- tary mandate with a focus, above all, on the «balanced claim» between the powers of the Member himself and the discipline of the political group to which he or she belongs.
The paper also examines other new legal aspects such as telematic voting, profusely used during the Covid-19 pandemic, the disqualification regime due to public and private causes and the need to deeply reform it, as well as the Member’s immunity and inviolability, the criteria for granting or denial judiciary petitions requesting that a Member be put on trial (suplicatorio), all of this under the interpretative criteria set up by the case-law of Consti- tutional Court and the most recent doctrine
