La época dieciochesca es un periodo al que la musicología actual está dedicando grandes esfuerzos, estudiando la música conservada y sus principales compositores. El presente artículo aporta información hasta ahora inédita sobre las oposiciones al magisterio de capilla de la catedral de Calahorra llevadas a cabo en 1771. Para ello, se analizará en profundidad el pleito legal en que se embarcaron dos de los opositores para obtener dicho puesto y que, finalmente, acabaría fallando a favor de Diego Pérez de/del Camino.

The eighteenth century is a period to which current musicology is devoting great efforts, studying the preserved music and its main composers. This article provides information hitherto unpublished about the oppositions to the chapel´s magisterium of Calahorra’s cathedral carried out in 1771. For this, it will be analyzed in depth the legal lawsuit in which two of the opponents embarked to obtain said position, and that, finally, would end up ruling in favor of Diego Pérez de/del Camino.
