Resumen de Conservación y preservación del Patrimonio Cultural: una revisión a partir de la identidad latinoamericana

  El artículo tiene por objetivo analizar los supuestos teórico-conceptuales concernientes a los patrimonios culturales y su vinculación con la identidad cultural latinoamericana. Para lograr este cometido, se reflexiona acerca del patrimonio cultural como bien material, tangible e intangible de la humanidad, cuyo valor no se obtiene de forma utilitaria, sino a través de su conexión con el legado ancestral y con la identificación social hacia este. Por otro lado, señala la importancia de la preservación y conservación de los inmuebles patrimoniales, por lo que resulta indispensable la gestión cultural, cuya finalidad es emplazar al colectivo ciudadano, el Estado y las entidades privadas al respeto y valoración de los patrimonios, asumiendo una actitud responsable, sostenible y sostenida frente a las edificaciones históricas emblemáticas en América Latina, que han sido víctimas de la intervención antrópica, la violencia, y de diversas catástrofes naturales. Finalmente, al entender que un adecuado cuidado y comprensión de la relevancia histórica, social y filosófica de las edificaciones históricas patrimoniales, mejoraría, no sólo las condiciones materiales de los inmuebles, sino la concepción del ciudadano en torno a su identidad y el papel que juega como mecanismo de resistencia ante los cambios auspiciados por la globalización.

  This paper aims to analyze the theoretical-conceptual assumptions concerning cultural heritage and its link with Latin American cultural identity. To achieve this goal, we reflect on cultural heritage as a material, tangible and intangible asset of humanity, whose value is not obtained in a utilitarian way, but through its connection with the ancestral legacy and with social identification towards it. On the other hand, it points out the importance of the ownership and conservation of heritage buildings, which is why cultural management is essential, whose purpose is to summon the citizenry, the State and private entities to respect and value heritage, assuming a responsible, sustainable and sustained attitude towards emblematic historic buildings in Latin America, which have been victims of human intervention, violence, and various natural disasters. Finally, by understanding that adequate care and understanding of the historical, social and philosophical relevance of historical heritage buildings would improve not only the material conditions of the buildings, but also the citizen's conception of their identity and the role they play. as a mechanism of resistance to the changes sponsored by globalization.
