The objective of this work was to present a new control system for grain aerationsystem based on real time monitoring information of the stored grain mass and on theprocess simulation. Using a bin prototype, data were collected during about 1000hours, while the aeration system operated under automatic control by using 1-WireTMnet and managed by a software written in Java. The main merit of this application isthat the software and the network could be easily reconfigured in attempt to betteradequate the monitoring and controlling of the system to the requirements of theapplication.
