    El relicario del brazo de San Jorge en la Catedral de Salamanca es la reliquia más antigua y con más calidad custodiada en el tesoro catedralicio. El presente estudio tiene en cuenta las nuevas concepciones histórico artísticas que han focalizado su interés por el cuerpo, por las sensaciones y los sentidos. Por ello, en este estudio se realiza una investigación cuya perspectiva se centra en las interacciones del contemplador y el uso y función de la reliquia para tratar de visualizar un diálogo simbólico entre obra y espectador, ayudado por las directrices bibliográficas que han abordado su estudio basándose en patrones formales, cronológicos y estilísticos.

    The reliquary of the arm of Saint George in the Cathedral of Salamanca, is the oldest and highest quality relic guard in the cathedral treasure.

    The present study takes into account the new artistic historical conceptions that have focused their interest in the body, sensations and senses. So, this study presents research whose perspective focuses on the interactions of the viewer, the use and function of the relic, to try to visualize a symbolic dialogue between artwork and spectator, helped by the bibliographic guidelines that have approached their study based on formal, chronological and stylistic patterns.
