    El artículo despeja varios errores historiográficos atribuidos a la fundación del convento de la Orden de Predicadores asentado en la ciudad castellana de Chinchilla, esclarece algunas de sus circunstancias fundacionales y profundiza en la influencia que la formación de bandos políticos durante el siglo XV ejerció sobre tal comunidad religiosa. Asimismo, se expone la función que los frailes desempeñaron como elemento de atracción de flujo monetario continuo desde el campo circundante a la ciudad de Chinchilla.

    This article clears several historiographical errors related to the founding of the convent of the Order of Preachers settled in the city of Chinchilla (Castile). It also clarifies some of its founding circumstances and delves into the influence that the creation of political factions during the 15th century exerted on that religious community. Likewise, it is exposed how the friars played an influence as an element that ensured a continuous monetary flow from the surrounding countryside to the city of Chinchilla.
