A raíz del descubrimiento del retrato al óleo de don Paolo Albera, se realiza una revisión delas narrativas de la historiografía de la relación entre el pintor Enrico Reffo y el mecenazgo de la Congregación Salesiana, con el objetivo de reconstruir la historia material de la obra y considerar una posible atribución a este pintor y su escuela.

Following the discovery of don Paolo’s Albera oil portrait, I review the narratives of the historiography about the relationship between the painter Enrico Reffo and the Salesian Congregation’sart patronage, aiming to rebuild the material history of the portrait and to consider a possible attribution to this painter and his school.
