    El letrado Martín Fernández de Angulo, consejero de los Reyes Católicos y presidente de la Real Audiencia y Chancillería de Valladolid, compiló en esta ciudad a principios del siglo XVIuna colección de documentos propios y ajenos de literatura funcionarial (BNE mss/19365) que entregó al editor vallisoletano Cristóbal de Santisteban para que formara parte de una publicación que contendría una antología de textos antiguos y modernos que sirviera para el ejercicio de la oratoria en el ámbito político. Este manuscrito –que finalmente nunca llegó a pasar por la imprenta– confirma la cultura humanística del doctor Angulo, elogiada por Lucio Marineo Sículo y Lucio Flaminio Sículo.

    The lawyer Martín Fernández de Angulo, counselor of the Catholic Monarchs and president of the Royal Audience and Chancery of Valladolid, compiled in this same city at the beginning of the 16th century a collection of documents including some documents of his own and some other documents in relation to royal officials literature (BNE mss/19365) which he gave to the editor Cristóbal de Santisteban, original from Valladolid, with the purpose of being part of a publication that would contain an anthology of ancient and modern texts that would serve for the practice of oratory in the political field. This manuscript –which in the end was never printed– upholds the humanistic culture of Dr. Angulo praised by Marineo Siculo and Lucio Flaminio Siculo.
