Resumen de Luchas laborales y violencia contra el sindicalismo en Colombia, 2002-2010, ¿Otro daño “colateral” de la Seguridad Democrática?

El artículo primero hace un balance de los dos gobiernos de Álvaro Uribe Vélez (2002-2010) resaltando que la inequidad social y las condiciones laborales se deterioraron. Sobre esa constatación, y con apoyo en una reciente investigación de Cinep coordinada por el autor, se mira la tendencia de la violencia contra los sindicalistas de cara a la dinámica de las luchas sindicales durante esos años. Se concluye que si bien la violencia contra el sindicalismo se ha modificado en algunos indicadores, no ha desaparecido y, en todo caso, contribuye a debilitarlo a favor de la acumulación capitalista en el marco neoliberal.Palabras Clave: Alvaro Uribe Velez, Seguridad democratica, Sindicalismo, Violencia

ABSTRACT Labor struggles and violence against Union in Colombia, 2002-2010 ¿Another “collateral” damage of Democratic Security?The article starts with a balance of the two governments of Álvaro Uribe Vélez (2002-2010). It highlights that the social inequality and labor conditions were worse during those years. Over this statement, the author –based upon a research done by Cinep and coordinated by him–, looks at the tendencies of violence against unionists as well as of the labor struggle. It concludes that, in spite of some indicators of violence against unionists has been modified, it still remains, and in any case, contributes to the weakness of the workers’ organizations in favor of the capitalist accumulation.Key Words: Alvaro Uribe Velez, Democratic Security, Trade Unionism, Violence
