  • A biogas collecting and incineration plant has been set up in the sanitay landfill of Gerdelegui, in Vitoria-Gasteiz (Spain) at the end of 1994. Theremore, it is being studied the kind of biogas obtained in order to evaluate the possibility of an energy recovering. So the sanitary landfill reduces its environmental impact, reducing methan emmissions to air and biogas filtering to near soils.
