Resumen de La imagen barroca y la representación moderna

  En el presente trabajo se plantea el problema de la relación del barroco con la modernidad a través del estudio de un aspecto particular, que es el de la relación entre la imagen barroca y la representación analítica moderna. Se defiende que la procedencia religiosa de la imagen barroca da a ésta un importante papel en el dispositivo de refundamentación del mundo que el barroco pone en marcha, así como un especial carácter artístico y una enorme ambigüedad. La potencia propia de la imagen barroca es definida por su carácter alegórico, reinterpretado en términos de la figuralidad ontológica monoteísta y de su importante papel en el proceso histórico de desconstrucción del cristianismo.

  In this paper, the problem of the relationship between the baroque and modernity is addressed through the study of a particular aspect, which is the relationship between the baroque image and modern analytical representation. It is argued that the religious origin of the baroque image gives it an important role in the world foundation’s dispositif that the baroque sets in motion, as well as a special artistic character and an enormous ambiguity. The power of the baroque image is defined by its allegorical character, reinterpreted in terms of monotheistic ontological figuration and its important role in the historical process of the deconstruction of Christianity.
