Sanitary Landfilling methods have experienced an evolution to increased waste hornogenity and encapsulation. This allows the building of light structures on the closed landfill, with appropriate foundation design. In this paper, numerical analyses and in situ test results are compared with geotechnical solutions for layered ground bearing capacity Conclusions on the effect of the geometry and geotechnical parameters of the layers and footing dimensions on the load bearing capacity are proposed
