Prior knowledge of whether an ejaculate of boar will freeze well or not is fundamental to the use of sperm cryopreservation at commercial level. The objective of this work was to evaluate the ability of the ChemSensor (a gas chromatograph with a mass spectrometry detector and chemometric software used routinely to classify samples) as a tool of discrimination of ejaculates depending on their freezability. The results obtained show that the ChemSensor is capable of differentiating two groups of freezability. Due to the distances of separation obtained and a possible false positive, in the future it would be required to analyze a greater number of samples to obtain a more effective mathematical model.
