    Este artículo presenta de manera descriptiva y analítica la Associació Arxiu Muntadas. Centre d’Estudis i Recerca [Asociación Archivo Muntadas. Centro de Estudios e Investigación] (ARXIU/AM), en lo referente a sus propósitos fundacionales, su actividad y su estructura. ARXIU/AM es un archivo vivo, activo y que investiga, organizado en torno a los materiales generados por el artista Antoni Muntadas a lo largo de sus más de cincuenta años de trayectoria. Las características específicas de este archivo de artista, que trabaja para preservar el patrimonio material e inmaterial de y sobre Muntadas, parten de la apropiación y aplicación de la metodología de investigación, proyectual y de creación de equipos empleada por el artista para su trabajo en el campo del arte.

    This article presents in a descriptive and analytical manner the Associació Arxiu Muntadas. Centre d'Estudis i Recerca [Muntadas Archive Association. Study and Research Center] (ARXIU/AM), in terms of its founding purposes, its activity and its structure. ARXIU/AM is a living, active and investigative archive, organized around the materials generated by the artist Antoni Muntadas over the course of his career, which has been active for over fifty years. The specific characteristics of this artist's archive, which works to preserve the material and immaterial heritage of and about Muntadas, are based on the appropriation and application of the research, project and team-building methodology used by the artist in his work in the field of art.
