In the area of Lleida, several plantations of Paulownia sp. (Paulownia elongata x Paulownia fortuneii) can be found in order to produce biomass for thermal and electrical uses, due to its fast growth and its adaptation to the soil and climate conditions of the area. In this project, improving these crops is in purpose by searching alternative uses of their by-products, as paulownia leaves used as small ruminants feed. Several determinations of their nutritive value have been done along the cycle of production of the plant to find, thus, the best season of using them.
