  • Resumen
    • Based in a victimization survey conducted by MSF in September 2015 among 467 refugees and migrants in the albergues along the migration route in Mexico, we argue that even if economicalperspectives are involved, most migrants are literally forced to flee to meet basic security “needs”.We also show that the migration process itself is a sequence of systematic and various exposures to violence working as a selection process leaving aside those for are “forced to stay”. Advocatingthat this dynamic constitutes a neglected humanitarian crisis, we put forward operational propositions to tackle its more urgent impacts.
