    La educación ambiental comunitaria, es aquella que se realiza en la comunidad, teniendo en cuenta las potencialidades y necesidades de sus miembros; así como sus tradiciones y costumbres. Con la aplicación de diversos métodos investigativos se constataron, en la comunidad Cuba Nueva del municipio Pinar del Río, limitacionesrelacionadas con la no correspondencia de acciones conjuntas entre la escuela y los agentes socializadores que intervienen en el proceso pedagógico de los alumnos de la escuela primaria. Para resolver esta problemática se ejecutaron un sistema de acciones que involucra a todos los agentes socializadores de la comunidad, conociendo que es la familia el principal agente socializador y que educar desde la comunidad implica, capacitar y sensibilizar a sus pobladores desde la educación ambiental no formal. La intención de la investigación radicó en que las acciones propicien el desarrollo de la creatividad para poder transformar el medio natural donde viven. Esto significa estar atento al cambio de actitud que demuestren, apoyándolos emocionalmente y comprometiéndolos hacia un comportamiento adecuado y responsable ante el medio ambiente. Para hacer frente a los complejos problemas ambientales que enfrenta la sociedad contemporánea se hace necesario la realización de una adecuada educación ambiental orientada a la adquisición de conocimientos, desarrollo de hábitos, habilidades, capacidades, actitudes y valores que armonicen las relaciones entre los seres humanos y de ellos con la naturaleza. La educación ambiental comunitaria se convierte entonces, en conocimiento para la acción.

    Community environmental education is carried out in the community, taking into account the potentialities and needs of its members; as well as their traditions and customs. With the application of various investigative methods, limitations related to the non correspondenceof joint actions between the school and the socializing agents involved in the pedagogical process of primary school students were found in the Cuba Nueva community of the Pinar del Río municipality. To solve this problem, a system of actions was carried out that involves all the socializing agents of the community, knowing thatthe family is the main socializing agent and that educating from the community implies, training and sensitizing its inhabitants from non-formal environmental education. The intention of the research was that the actions promote the development of creativity in order to transform the natural environment where they live. This means being attentive to the change in attitude they show, supporting them emotionally and committing them to appropriate and responsible behavior towards the environment. To deal with the complex environmental problems that contemporary society faces, it is necessary to carry out an adequate environmental education aimed at the acquisition of knowledge, development of habits, skills, capacities, attitudes and values that harmonize the relationships between human beings and of them with nature. Community environmental education then becomes knowledge for action.
