Resumen de Pesquisa de Maltrato Físico Infantil: Una Dificultad Metodológica o Conceptual, Apreciaciones de Investigaciones Chilenas

El objetivo del presente artículo es reflexionar acerca de las dificultades conceptuales que presenta el concepto de maltra to infantil y comprender las discrepancias existentes entre los datos entregados sobre casos de maltrato físico infantil, tanto por los medios de comunicación social, las investigaciones existentes en el área y la información documentada por organismos públicos del ifrea de salud, justicia y educación en Chile.
Para responder estas inte1rngantes el artículo discute las siguientes temáticas: (1) problemas de conceptualización y medición, (2) actores sociales involucrados en la pesquisa de casos de maltrato infantil, (3) registros empleados, (4) consecuencias, y (5) conclusiones.

The objet of this paper is to reflect on the conceptual difficulties encountercd by the concept of child abuse lt covers the existing discrepancies between the information on child abuse such as the one managed by the social cornmunication media, the existing investigations on maltreatment and the information controlled by the public institutions of justice, health and education in Chile.
In orden to answer this inte1rngation, this article discusses the following subjects: (a) issues of measurement and conceptualization, (b) social acto1·s involved on the inquiry of child abuse, (c) the registry used. (d) consecuences, and (e) conclusions.
