Niveles de Nomofobia y Phubbing en estudiantes de la Universidad Santo Tomás de la Ciudad de Arica

    Resumen La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la presencia de Nomofobia y Phubbing en estudiantes de la Universidad Santo Tomás de Arica, considerando las variables sexo y edad. Esta investigación se realizó con un alcance descriptivo correlacional, de diseño no experimental de corte transversal y una muestra de tipo no probabilístico. La administración de los instrumentos fue realizada a 248 participantes entre hombres y mujeres, quienes respondieron de forma anónima, mediante los cuestionarios NMP- Q y la escala de Phubbing. Los datos fueron analizados usando el programa estadístico SPSS versión 23. Los resultados evidenciaron que existe correlación estadísticamente significativa entre la Nomofobia y Phubbing, por otra parte, en la dimensión de Nomofobia (No poder comunicar), las mujeres presentan las puntuaciones más altas.

    Abstract The objective of the present investigation was to determine the presence of Nomofobia and Phubbing in students of the Santo Tomás University of Arica, considering the variables sex and age. A study was carried out with a correlational descriptive scope, a non-experimental cross-sectional design and a stratified non-probabilistic. The administration of the instruments was directed to 248 participants between men and women, who responded anonymously, through the NMP-Q questionnaires and the Phubbing scale. The data were analyzed using the statistical package SPSS versión 23. The results showed that there is a statistically significant correlation between Nomophobia and Phubbing, on the other hand in the dimensión of Nomophobia (Not being able to communicate), women present the highest scores.
